We are proud to announce the unanimous approval of the revised European Training Requirements (ETRs) by all European National Medical Associations (NMAs) and the Specialist Sections of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). These updated ETRs, meticulously prepared, draw inspiration from the WHO Rehabilitation Competency Framework and encompass a comprehensive list of Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs). We firmly believe that these resources will play a pivotal role in shaping the training of the emerging generation of PRM physicians.
The journey towards developing these new ETRs has been one of both length and complexity. Yet, it marks a significant stride forward for our field, garnering commendations from the UEMS Executive and ETR Committees for their exceptional quality and groundbreaking integration of EPAs. It is with heartfelt gratitude that we extend our sincere appreciation for their contribution, to the UEMS PRM Section and Board delegates, the European Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine, the European Society of PRM, our panel of PRM trainees, the European NMAs, the UEMS Executive & ETRs Committees, the UEMS Specialists’ Sections & Boards, and the dedicated administrative staff.
